Vice President, Fund Development
Rod Linhares, Vice President of Fund Development, joined Abilities United in 2016. His development career spans twenty-seven years, and he has assisted social service, educational, civic, healthcare, and religious institutions throughout the West.
His expertise includes major gift cultivation and solicitation, feasibility studies, campaign planning and direction, annual giving, volunteer recruitment and training, foundations, materials development, and marketing.
Rod believes that collaboration and a mission-driven focus are integral to enhancing an organization’s ability to support and assist those it serves and, by extension, the greater community. Correspondingly, he strongly believes that Abilities United’s unyielding commitment to inclusion, advocacy, and independence for persons with developmental disabilities greatly benefits both the individuals and families who are directly affected and society as a whole.
Rod has an MBA in Finance from the University of San Francisco and a BA in Management from the University of Notre Dame. A Bay Area native, he serves as a board member for multiple non-profit organizations.
