Rehabilitation Coach and Recreational Instructor
Peter Leung has been working in the Abilities United aquatics program since 1999, specializing in helping children and adults with cerebral palsy.
Peter helps clients with balance, coordination, gait training and pain management. He also teaches adaptive swim lessons, including helping clients overcome their fear of water. Peter enjoys helping his clients maintain their mobility, personal fitness goals, and independence.
Peter received his B.A. in kinesiology with a concentration in adaptive physical education from San Francisco State University. He is a certified American College of Sports Medicine personal trainer, a master teacher of adapted aquatics, and holds lifeguard, CPR, first aid, and AED certifications from the American Red Cross. Peter was born in Hong Kong and spends his free time kayaking, outrigger paddling, swimming, biking, cooking, and reading.
