Joey Vaughan is the Manager of Community Benefits at Stanford Children’s Health. He oversees the organization’s community health improvement initiatives and community benefit investments and strategy. In his role as Manager of Community Benefits, Joey engages local nonprofits, government agencies and community leaders to improve the health status of individuals and the community at large. In fiscal year 2016, Stanford Children’s Health reported over $208 million in community benefit services and activities.
Joey attended university in San Jose, California and Aalborg, Denmark and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Global Studies. Prior to his role at Stanford Children’s Health he was a Senior Legislative Aide in the California State Assembly working on Health and Business policy during the passage of the Affordable Care Act and its implementation in the state. Joey lives in San Francisco with his husband Niklas and their dog Abby.
